It's the beginning of the year and we are kicking off our library skills library sessions during library time with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They are learning how to become library smarty pants! In other words, they are learning about the library and how it is organized. The students are discovering through hands on stations and reading text about the system our library books are shelved. They are learning new library terms like "call number", "book spine", "Everybody Section" or, "Fiction Section". The library skills will help the students become independent learners and problem solvers when they come to the library!
